Citrine, also known as Sunela in Hindi, is a naturally occurring gemstone that belongs to the Quartz mineral family and ranges in colour from yellow to golden brown. This gemstone is worn as a replacement (upratna) for the valuable yellow sapphire in Vedic astrology in order to increase money, social standing, wisdom, health, and the happiness of one’s offspring.
